BMSR provides timely professional advice to its Customers to allow them to continue to operate their vessels in compliance with national and international requirements by:
-The provision of flag certificates issued by the BMSR and statutory certificates issued by recognised organisation on behalf of Barbados;
-The recording of ownership by the legal adding, amending or removing of entries from the Official Register of Ships, including the entering and deletion of mortgages;
-The issue temporary permits and permanent equivalences and exemptions, where in the Conventions such discretion is given to the flag Administration;
-The above services are executed on behalf of the Government of Barbados which has authorised the Principal Registrar to act in these matters;
-To issue seafarer endorsements and discharge books for seafarers employed on barbarian vessels;
-To carry out flag state inspection as per Barbados shipping act;
-To assess any marine accident and carry out marine safety investigation when required to do so; and
– Flag Stater reporting to the IMO as required by Conventions.
