Captain Marek Leski
Captain Marek Leski

It is with much sadness we have learned of the untimely loss of one of our long-serving and respected colleagues, Captain Marek Leski, due to covd-19.
As a Barbados Maritime inspector of many years standing with Marbalco, Captain Leski was a valued and much respected member of our team.
Our sympathy and condolences go to his family and colleagues.
BREAKING NEWS: FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS
For more than a decade, our Captain Peter Green has navigated through some very stormy conditions and often mountainous seas to bring the Barbados flag administration through to safer waters. A gentleman at all times, maintaining the highest standards has been second nature to him, and we are sad that and we are sad that he has now retired.
We know you will all join us in wishing Peter a very long, happy & healthy retirement. We shall all miss you, Sir. We wish you fair winds always.

Peter’s successor is GIOVANNI CINIGLIO, CENG MRINA.
Giovanni is a Naval Architect with particular expertise in ship design, building and operation, with experience in many types of ships: including passenger ships, cargo ships, offshore vessels, and yachts.
Mr. Ciniglio has extensive knowledge of IMO Conventions and Statutory Instruments, combined with long, practical
experience in the Flag Administration role. A particular strength is his knowledge of both the Flag Inspector and
PSCO roles, having been personally involved in this area for the last 6 years in both the Paris MoU and Caribbean MoU.
Giovanni ‘s commitment is for the Barbados flag to maintain the highest quality standards and to achieve higher ranking in all PSC regional reports, while increasing the fleet size and welcoming more passenger ships and yachts.
We know you will all extend a very warm welcome to Giovanni, and we wish him every success in his new appointment.
